What Mode is

Mode is the most common value in a set of data. It is a measure of central tendency and can be used to describe the shape of a data set.

Steps for Mode:

  1. Arrange the data set in numerical order.

  2. Count the number of times each value appears in the data set.

  3. The value that appears the most is the mode.

  4. If no value appears more than once, there is no mode.

  1. Mode is used to identify the most common value in a dataset.
  2. Mode can be used to identify which item is most popular in a survey or poll.
